11th Annual W.H.O. Golf Fiesta

Everyone was celebrating “Cuatro de Mayo” at the 11th Annual Westgate Hospitality Organization Golf Tournament. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze blowing over the greens at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club. Before the players took to the greens, they participated in the putting contest, raffle purchase, and were treated to breakfast from Chick-fil-A featuring their new spicy chicken biscuit.

With player bags full of sponsor gifts and the beverage carts stocked with product from Pepsi and MillerCoors, the players got off to an early morning shot gun start as Marc McConnell, Tournament Director of Falcon’s Fire, gave the green light for golfers to fiesta on the greens.

Sponsors at each hole provided special giveaways, food and beverages and held “Cuatro de Mayo” themed contests. From US Foodservice cooking up their fiesta themed southwest salad to Mr. Greenjeans preparing refreshing mojitos, and to having your picture taken on one of Boggy Creek’s airboats, each hole made for a unique stop. To commemorate the day, players posed for their framed souvenir photo.

As players finished their 18 holes of championship golf, they returned to the newly renovated clubhouse for a fabulous Mexican feast prepared by the Westgate Smokehouse Grill. In addition to a variety of steak, chicken and pork fajitas with all the fixings, Gold Medal was on site to showcase their delicious soft serve ice cream for dessert!

During lunch, David Siegel, President and CEO of Westgate Resorts, welcomed all of the players before announcing the golf tournament contest winners and grand raffle prizes. Prizes included a 7 Day / 6 Night anywhere stay compliments of Interval International, a $100 Gift Certificate to Morton’s The Steakhouse, and a 1 night stay at a Walt Disney World® Resort with (2) 1 Day / 1 Park tickets and a $50.00 Disney gift card along with much more.

As everyone departed, they felt lucky to have spent a gorgeous day on the golf course among industry friends and W.H.O. partners. All were definitely ready for a siesta!
