Dive Into Excitement with Busch Gardens

Just a short drive from Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay dives to new levels of excitement this year with SheiKra – North America’s only dive coaster.

SheiKra sends riders up 200 feet, then 90 degrees straight down at 70 miles per hour – and that’s just the beginning. SheiKra is the tallest roller coaster in Florida and the first of its kind to incorporate an Immelmann loop (rolling maneuver), a second 138-foot dive into an underground tunnel and a water-feature finale. SheiKra serves as the centerpiece of Busch Gardens’ newly themed Stanleyville area.

The Real Music Concert Series returns in January with Big Band favorites, 60s & 70s Pop acts and some of country music’s biggest stars. And direct from Dublin, Irish Thunder storms into the adventure park for daily performances at the Desert Grill. This dazzling guest favorite showcases Irish dance infused with traditional and contemporary Celtic music.

For adventurers in search of up-close animal encounters, there’s no place like Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Experience Myombe Reserve, a naturalistic tropical rainforest habitat featuring chimpanzees and Western lowland gorillas. Take a walking safari in Edge of Africa to get face-to-face with lions and hyenas and go below the waterline to watch hippos swim.

If that’s not enough, book a “Serengeti Safari Tour” or “Saving A Species Tour” for an additional fee. Feed giraffes and see free-roaming herds of white rhinos, zebras and other exotic African wildlife on the park’s 65-acre Serengeti Plain while learning about the worldwide efforts of the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund.
