Orlando is known for its vast selection of theme parks and family activities, however there is a strong cultural and art presence in the area. With areas like downtown Orlando and Winter Park, there is a wonderful mix of shopping, dining and sightseeing.

Brush up on your history with a trip to the Orange County History Center. A variety of exhibits showcases Central Florida's history as well as nationally important limited-run exhibitions. The Art of the Stamp, its first Smithsonian exhibition since being awarded Affiliate status in 2006, runs through November 18.

Admire an array of beautiful artwork and specialty exhibits at The Orlando Museum of Art in downtown Orlando. From December 8 - February 3, Collector's Choice III, features a wide variety of one-of-a-kind pieces of art from a number of different collections to encompass a unique and interesting exhibit.

Kid Stuff: Great Toys from Our Childhood, running January 18 - April 13, features famous toys that have entertained children for the past 50 years including favorites such as Tinker Toys, Mr. Potato Head, Radio Flyer Wagon, Barbie, and more! This is an enjoyable exhibit for kids as well as adults.

Venture over to Winter Park for a day of wonderful shopping, dining, and culture. Nestled among tall oak trees and charming brick roads, you will find Park Avenue. Strolling the avenue, a favorite pastime of locals, is a great way to get acquainted with everything Winter Park has to offer.

A wide variety of restaurants and quaint cafes line Park Avenue. Stop in for a glass of wine at Eola Wine Company on Park and The Wine Room on Park Ave. Try the brunch at 310 Park South and afterwards do a little shopping at BullFish and Jacobson's.

The most complete collection of work from Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933) including Tiffany jewelry, pottery, paintings, art glass, leaded-glass windows, lamps, and the chapel interior he designed for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago is featured.
