Busch Gardens Springs into Action With Exciting Additions and Special Events Spring 2007

In 2005, Busch Gardens introduced the world to a one-of-a-kind experience: 200 feet up, 90 degrees straight down. And that was just the beginning. In June, the bottom drops out on SheiKra as America’s first dive coaster goes floorless. Already a legend with thrill-seekers worldwide, SheiKra’s new design intensifies it’s unique combination of vertical drops, Immelmann loop, underground tunnel and water-feature finale, and further solidifies Busch Gardens’ position as Florida’s thrill-ride leader.

Latin flavor sizzles this spring at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay during Viva La Música – a concert series filled with chart-topping artists, energetic rhythms, and delicious Hispanic food. Starting March 11, guests can enjoy four consecutive Sundays of salsa, reggaeton, bachata, and Spanish pop. The month-long party concludes with one of the biggest names in the Latin music world, Paulina Rubio, turning up the heat with a pulsating performance on Sunday, April 1 at 4 PM. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy their favorite thrill rides, shows, and attractions, and concert seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Viva La Música is included with park or annual Passport admission.

Every Saturday in May, the Michelob May Musicfest rocks Busch Gardens’ Gwazi Park with food, fun, ice-cold Michelob, and some of country music and classic rock’s top acts on the main stage. Michelob May Musicfest is included with any one-day admission or annual Passport membership, but get there early — seating capacity in Gwazi Park is limited.

Starting on May 26, Busch Gardens’ Summer Nights returns. Each night, the 335-acre adventure park will take on a street-party atmosphere. Special entertainment will light up each night, while guests get the chance to ride the park’s world-class thrill rides in the dark. Festive food and drink and ice-cold Anheuser-Busch products will also be served. The event will run until Aug. 4, 2007 and is included with park or annual Passport admission.

Located right across the street from Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island’s 30 acres of water-drenched fun in the sun features the ultimate combination of high-speed thrills and tropical, tranquil surroundings for guests of all ages. Within a soothing Key West atmosphere awaits an unrivaled blend of slides, corkscrews, waterfalls, a wave pool, children’s water playground and other family attractions. The park kicks off its 27th season on March 10, 2007.
